Hi.

Welcome to Annie Rose Clothes, where I share a look into my personal style and hope to inspire others to express themselves through style.

I'm back, my friends! I took a much needed two week break from the blog and instagram over Christmas and New Years! It felt great to unplug and disconnect a little bit. From Christmas to New Years we easily accumulated at least 3 feet of snow and have been barely pushing 10 degrees the last week. Both conditions forced me to cancel photo shoots and put some content on hold. Anyway, Beckett went back to school today, the weather seems to be cooperating (for at least the next 10 days) and I'm happy to be back in action on the blog.   I'm not typically one to make specific new years resolutions, partly because I never stick to them, but this year I decided that I wanted to write down some goals. I figure if I put them out there for the world to see, maybe I'll be better at sticking to them! These are personal goals. I also created blog related goals but they are much more financial and specific to blog performance and belong in the privacy of an excel spreadsheet!    1. Be present at church on Sundays It seems impossible to get 4 people up, ready and out of the house in time for 8:30am service but there are people that do it. And in the next year I want to be those people. My kids usually sleep in and I use the excuse that I don't want to wake them but 99.9% of the time I'm not ready either. We will no longer be CristEaster church go-ers. 2. Wake up before the kids This has been a goal of mine for at least 6 months and for 6 months I have failed. I KNOW I will get more accomplished if I just get up at least an hour before the kids every morning. I could write a blog post, pay bills, exercise, empty the dishwasher, do laundry, I mean the list is endless. Most mornings Beckett wakes me up around 8am when he wakes up. I'm 31 years old for goodness sake, I need to be waking up with the rest of the working world at 6am.    3. Pay closer attention to my spending habits This one can probably be applied to most Mom's but heading to Target 3 times a week and never escaping under $100 NEEDS TO STOP! Why the heck do I need all 6 scents of Mrs. Meyers cleaning supplies? I don't clean!! Also, $28 for 3 people to eat lunch, 2 under the age of 5, is absolutely ridiculous. As much as my kids LOVE Panera macaroni and cheese they will not longer be enjoying it on a weekly basis.   Do any of these goals resonate with you? What are your 2018 goals? Do you write them down and hold yourself accountable or do you just keep them in your head? Are you typically successful?         !function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? 'http' : 'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + '://' + 'widgets.rewardstyle.com' + '/js/boutique.js';d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__boutique === 'object') if(d.readyState === 'complete') {window.__boutique.init();}}(document, 'script', 'boutique-script'); JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser.
