Winter Wardrobe Checklist
It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the number of choices in clothing these days. There are about a million different retailers to shop, all with varying price points and clothing quality. As a fashion blogger, I’ll admit sometimes it’s overwhelming for me as well. It seems like there’s always something new but as I get older I find that if I genuinely love and need the pieces I purchase it’s easier to fight the urge to keep buying and instead find different ways to wear them. Several years ago I went through my closet and made a list of the pieces I needed to round it out. I took note of things I was missing and things I hadn’t worn.. I did this at the start of the summer but I think it would be beneficial do to it before every season. I remember specifically thinking how much easier it was to get dressed if I had less choices. Once I became a blogger I felt like I needed to have a larger variety of things but as I sit just a couple weeks from the start of my #36thingsin2019 challenge I’m actually excited to buy less and get creative with what I have. I think creating a list of things I still need will also help me direct my purchases. So, you could say I’m creating this list for ME and YOU!
Take a second to download the Winter Wardrobe Checklist and when you have time, review your closet. Mark the items you have, don’t have or are not interested in adding to your closet. I’m going to do this as well and I’ll share my results with you. If you work in the corporate world you’ll probably need to add to the quantity of some pieces but for the most part I think this is a pretty good start. I tried to be as comprehensive and realistic as possible and hope that once you’ve taken inventory of your closet you’ll have a better idea of what you actually need in 2019.
